Who does Loving Choices see for testing?
Loving Choices serves only women and girls at this time. We refer male partners to a physician or the Arkansas Department of Health.

Do I have to pay anything for testing?
No, the testing is free for you. However, we do require all of our STD/STI testing clients to take part in an STD/STI education session with a counselor prior to the test. Plan for your appointment to be about an hour.

How does Loving Choices test for STDs/STIs?
The HIV and Syphilis tests are done by taking a blood sample. The Gonorrhea and Chlamydia tests are done by taking a urine sample.

How long does it take to get results back?
The results will take anywhere between a week and two weeks as they are processed by an external laboratory. Also, to receive your results, you will have to come back in person for your "results appointment." We will not give results over the phone or by email.

Does Loving Choices provide treatment?
We provide treatment at no cost for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, Herpes and Urinary Tract Infections. The Arkansas Department of Health will see clients who test positive for HIV or Syphilis.
