Losing a pregnancy to miscarriage or stillbirth is a very painful and traumatic experience. There is nothing like the pain that someone can feel when the pregnancy is over and there will be no child born alive. Even women who thought they might not want the pregnancy often find themselves experiencing grief over the loss.

At Loving Choices we would love to walk alongside of you during this time of loss. Please contact us today to schedule an appointment to talk through your experience. There is help for your pain and we understand how you could be feeling right now as many of the staff and volunteers have lost pregnancies.

Some great links for you to explore are:

www.MEND.org. Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death (M.E.N.D.) is a support group where you can meet with other women and couples who have lost unborn or newborn children. There is a local chapter that meets at the Jones Center for Families.

www.Hannahsprayer.org. This is an online chat community forum that is a safe place to post your story and receive help from other women going through the same kind of loss. You need to obtain a userid and password which is fast and easy.

www.SilentGrief.com. This is another online chat community forum that is also a safe place to find help from others walking the same road as you are.

If you had a stillbirth (20-40 weeks pregnant), Arkansas allows you to apply for a Birth Certificate Resulting in Stillbirth. This is a wonderful validation that your baby was born and was a real person.
